Broadcast quality, personal care

We're not a tech company that does funerals, we're a funeral service that uses broadcast technology. There's a difference in how we work.

Jonathan, founder of Funeral Livestreamers

Jonathan

Founder — 20+ years in broadcast television

I've spent decades working in professional TV production. I bring that same technical standard to every funeral I film — with the sensitivity and discretion that this work demands. I personally operate every livestream.

Powered by LiveU — the same technology used by BBC News & Sky Sports

Common questions

Everything you need to know before booking. If your question isn't answered here, please call or WhatsApp Jonathan on 07930 993420.

Booking & availability

As soon as you have a confirmed date and venue, please get in touch. Funerals are often arranged at short notice, and we do our best to accommodate all enquiries. That said, dates can fill up quickly, so early contact is always better. We can often turn around bookings within 24 hours.
We mainly cover London and the South East including Kent, Surrey and Sussex and can cover anywhere in the UK when additional travel expenses are agreed, including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This includes churches, crematoria, graveside services, woodland burials and private venues.
The quickest way is to call or WhatsApp Jonathan directly on 07930 993420. You can also fill in the enquiry form below and we'll respond within the hour during business hours. We understand that funeral arrangements often need to happen quickly, so we always aim to respond as fast as possible.
Yes. Funeral directors refer families to us directly, and we're experienced in working alongside them. We can liaise with the funeral director on your behalf to confirm access times and any venue requirements, so you don't have to coordinate everything yourself.

On the day

We arrive at least 45–60 minutes before the service to set up equipment and test the stream. We work quietly and discreetly, taking great care not to intrude on the service or distract those in attendance. The stream goes live approximately 5 minutes before the ceremony begins, so remote viewers can settle in..
This is where our technology really stands apart. We use LiveU — the same broadcast kit used by BBC News reporters streaming live from remote locations around the world. LiveU bonds multiple mobile networks simultaneously to create a single, stable, high-quality signal. Even in rural churches with very poor individual network coverage, LiveU creates a reliable broadcast connection. We've successfully streamed from locations other services couldn't reach.
Jonathan personally monitors the stream throughout the entire service and can respond immediately to any technical issues. Our professional broadcast equipment is far more reliable than consumer-grade setups, and LiveU's network bonding provides built-in redundancy. In the highly unlikely event of any interruption, Jonathan will work to restore the stream as quickly as possible. Meanwhile the proceedings are being recorded and can be immediately uploaded in the very rare event of a techinical issue.
Not at all. Jonathan has extensive experience working sensitively in these environments. He positions equipment discreetly, dresses appropriately, and operates quietly throughout. Many families tell us that those in attendance barely noticed he was there. Our approach is always to be as unobtrusive as possible while still capturing the full service to the highest quality.
Yes. We regularly stream graveside committal services, woodland burials, and outdoor ceremonies. Our portable LiveU equipment is designed for exactly these environments, and we can move freely between an indoor service and an outdoor committal as part of a single booking. Please mention this when you enquire so we can plan accordingly.

For remote viewers

No — and this is very important to us. Viewers simply click a link in their browser. There are no passwords, no apps to download, no accounts to create, and no sign-ups. It works on any smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer with an internet connection. We specifically chose YouTube as our platform of choice to make it as simple as possible for older relatives or those who aren't tech-savvy.
There is no limit on the number of simultaneous viewers. Whether 10 or 10,000 people want to watch, the stream will work reliably for everyone.
Yes. The stream is recorded and a replay link is available to share with family and friends after the service — ideal for those in different time zones, or anyone who experienced a technical issue during the live broadcast. Please discuss replay options when you book. Replays are typically available immediately after and even during the proceedings.
Yes, absolutely. The stream link works worldwide. Many of our bookings are specifically because family members cannot travel from abroad — whether from Australia, the USA, or elsewhere. As long as the viewer has an internet connection, they can watch from anywhere in the world. For those in significantly different time zones, the replay option is particularly useful.
We stream in full HD (1080p) with professional audio. The quality you see in our example video above is representative of what remote viewers experience. On a decent broadband or mobile connection, viewers receive clear, sharp video and excellent sound quality — far above the blurry, echoey streams that are common with cheaper setups. Our professional sound equipment is particularly important in churches and crematoria where acoustics can be challenging.

Pricing & payment

Pricing depends on the location and length of the service. Please contact us for a quote — we'll give you a clear, all-inclusive price with no hidden fees. We believe in transparent pricing and will always confirm the full cost before you commit to anything.
No. The price we quote is the price you pay. There are no additional charges for the number of viewers, for replay access, for travel within our standard coverage area, or for equipment. If anything could affect the price — such as a very remote location or an unusually long service — we'll always tell you upfront before you book.
We accept bank transfer. Payment is typically requested in advance of the service date. We'll send you a clear invoice with all the payment details once you confirm your booking. If you have any questions about payment, please don't hesitate to ask when you get in touch.
